Jack O'Connell joins the cast of the sequel to 'Godzilla X Kong'

After the success of Godzilla x Kong: The New EmpireLegendary launched the sixth installment of the Samper In May 2024, with Grant Sputore (I Am Mother) As director of the next sequel to the Kaiju Cinematographic Universe, taking the place of Adam Wingard, who is not back due to work agenda conflict.

O'Connell plays Dever's brother.

Dave Callaham (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) wrote the script. Callaham wrote the first drafts of Godzilla (2014).

The new film is described as A continuation of the franchise focused on Godzilla, Kong and a variety of other titans.

The next installment will feature several new human characters with Godzilla and Kong while facing a catastrophic threat that could end the world.

O'Connell became a known actor for the audience of the West with the leading role in the biopic Unbroken (2014) by Angelina Jolie and Universal, giving life to the Olympic athlete Louis Zamperini and her heartbreaking history of survival. Recently appeared at the biopic Back to Black about Amy Winehouse's life, and Ferrari by Michael Mann. In April we will see it in Sinners by Ryan Coogler in antagonistic role, and June in the expected sequel 28 Years Later by Danny Boyle.
