The main cast also includes Laurence Fishburne (John Wick, The Matrix), Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us, Terminator: Dark Fate), Ivana Milicevic (Banshee, The 100), Macy Gray (Training Day) and the debut of Scarlett Holmes.
Synopsis:
“When the astronaut Sam Walker (Mara) returns from her first space mission, she is miraculously alive in a perforated capsule that floats deep in the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Hoping to meet her husband (Luna), she is under intense nas (Fishburne).
The Astronaut It marks the solo debut of Varley as a screenwriter and director. Varley is an actress with roles in series like Colony y Katwho in 2015 tried luck behind the lens, first with Camping Safeand later with the short film Mother.
Brad Fuller (franchise A Quiet Place) and Cameron Fuller produce the project, together with Eric B. Fleishcman (Sleight) by Wonder Company, and Chris Abernathy (Barbarian).
