It's official, Paramount+ renewed for a third season his drama and espionage series, Lioness of Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Sicario).

The renewal is confirmed 10 months after the broadcast of the end of the second season.

According to reports from Deadline, the delay of a third season was due in part to the fact that, although the protagonist Zoe Saldana He had a contract for three seasons, Nicole Kidman He had to make a new agreement to return for the next season and that took time.

The third season got the green light a few months ago, but Paramount+ chose not to announce it until the producers had finalized the logistics of the protagonists' busy schedules.

Both Saldaña and Kidman are executive producers of the series.

The series' plot is inspired by a real-life American military show, which follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) as he tries to balance his personal and professional life as the CIA's spearhead in the war on terrorism.

Other main cast members include Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Michael Kelly, Thad Luckinbill, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hebert, Jonah Whatony Hannah Love Lanier. Genesis Rodriguez (The Umbrella Academy) joined in the second season.

In season two, the CIA's fight against terrorism came closer to home. Joe (Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Byron (Michael Kelly) recruited a new Lioness agent (Genésis Rodríguez) to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe was forced to confront the deep personal sacrifices she made as leader of the Lioness program.

Filming of the third season is underway scheduled to begin this October.
