Culenasm «Kashii Blue» – I don’t think I’ve even featured this indie quartet from Fukuoka in the blog yet. Their music is not only very good (at least to my ears), but also quite compatible with western indie guitar sounds. They weave shoegaze, indie rock and typical Japanese chord progressions into an extremely appealing mixture. Like on their new single, which was released at the end of last year and focuses more on DreamPop.

Scut «Don’t overcomplicate it» – I listened to the German band Scut often in the 2000s because I always liked their melodic indie rock sound. Now they are back again, now as a one-man project led by Markus Losert, with really successful new music on Alison Records.
