Libero Nyeme, from Minas, shone in defenses and receptions and was awarded the VivaVôlei Trophy. The highest scorer of the match was Canadian Hilary Johnson. The striker, essential for Minas Gerais' victory, scored 17 points. Of these, 15 were attacks, one was a block and one was a serve.
The victory brings Minas closer to leader Sesc RJ Flamengo. The team reaches 35 points, just two behind Rubro-Negro. Fluminense is sixth in the Superliga table. Tricolor has 21 points, with nine wins in 14 games.

How was the game?
Despite a balanced start to the game, Minas, with a great volume of play and efficient in constructing plays, opened 18 to 12. Fluminense made a reaction, but it was not enough, and the Minas Gerais team closed the first half 25 to 19.
In the second set, a great performance from Minas, combined with a “blackout” from the Laranjeiras team, resulted in a calm victory for the visitor by 25 to 9.

In the third part, Fluminense was able to recover, but Minas's efficiency in turning the ball and blocking prevailed, and Minas closed the part 25 to 21, guaranteeing the victory by 3 sets to 0.
