The end of The Boys is in the spotlight.
Prime Video is preparing the audience for the return and goodbye of its successful series, ready to present its fifth and final season.
After sharing a couple of posters yesterday, the streamer shared the final trailer for the final season of the series from the creator and showrunner, Erik Kripke.
The premiere of the final season is scheduled for April 8 on Prime Video worldwide, with the release of its first two episodes. The series finale will air on May 20.

SYNOPSIS:
“In the fifth and final season, Homelander's world is completely subject to his erratic and self-centered whims. Hughie, Mother's Milk and Frenchie are imprisoned in a 'Freedom Camp'. Annie struggles to resist the overwhelming force of the Supes. Kimiko is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher reappears, ready to use a virus that will wipe all the Supes off the map, he sets off a series of events that will change the world and all its inhabitants forever. It's the climax. Important things are going to happen!”.
Season 4 ended in July 2024, with the new US president declaring martial law and putting Homelander in charge of the country. All of the boys were captured except Butcher, who possesses tentacle superpowers and possesses a virus capable of annihilating all supermen, and Annie, who regained her Starlight powers and recruited some of Godolkin's students in season 2 of “Gen V.”
The main cast includes Karl Urban like Butcher, Erin Moriarty like Annie/Starlight, Jack Quaid like Hughie, Chace Crawford como The Deep, Antony Starr like Homelander, Nathan Mitchell like Black Noir, Jessie T. Usher like A-Train, Laz Alonso like MM, Tomer Capone like Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara like Kimiko, and Cameron Crovetti Like Ryan.
Daveed Diggs (Blindspottingserie Snowpiercer) is one of the new additions of the final season.
The Boys trace a story that satires the role of superheroes, presenting a world where they abuse their power and cross unthinkable limits. Its first season premiered on the streamer in 2019, becoming an immediate hit with both critics and audiences.
The story is based on the New York Times bestselling comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
The Boys has been praised for its sarcastic humor, its satirical exploration of politics, as well as its shocking moments of violence and gore. The cast's performances have also been applauded.
At the end of July 2025, Kripke told what we can expect from the final season:
“As far as we’re concerned, it’s our show’s version of the apocalypse.”
Filming for the final season ended in recent days, according to information shared by Krikpe himself.
By the way, episode 1 of the fifth season is titled “Fifteen Inches of Sheer Dynamite” (Fifteen inches of pure dynamite), demonstrating that the humor of The Boys remains intact.
The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, with Krikpe Enterprises, Original Film and Point Gray Pictures.
