A Samara Weaving We will be able to enjoy it three times on the big screen this year.
First, with the sequel Ready or Not 2: Here I Comejust released in theaters on March 20, in April it will be the turn of Over Your Dead Bodyand again in June, with the release of the crime-romance thriller, Carolina Caroline.
After celebrating its world premiere at TIFF last September, the director's feature film Adam Carter Rehmeier (Dinner In America), and the screenwriter Tom Deanofficially starts its marketing campaign with a first teaser trailer shared by the studio Magnolia Pictures.
The road movie stars Weaving and Kyle Gallner (Strange Darling, Scream 5, Smile), con Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) y Jon Gries (The White Lotus).
The film tells the story of a young woman (Weaving) who leaves her small town in search of her estranged mother (Sedgwick), along with a charismatic con man (Gallner) who is on the run from the law. The duo leave behind a wave of crime and passion as they race through the Southeast.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“Samara Weaving stars as Caroline Daniels, whose desire to leave her small Texas town leads her to meet a charismatic conman (Gallner), and together they embark on an adventure of crime and passion across the southeastern United States. Also starring Kyra Sedgwick, the film features a diverse country music soundtrack, with songs by artists such as Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Loretta Lynn and more than a dozen others.”
The filming of Carolina Caroline It was held in Kentucky in 2024.
Stephen Braun, Tim and Trevor White, Eric B. Fleischman and Chris Abernathy are producers, with Jan McAdoo, Brittany Kahan Ward and Trent Hubbard serving as executive producers.
As a curious fact we share with you that Weaving and Gallner are part of the slasher franchise Scream; Gallner appeared in Scream 5 and Weaving in Scream VI.
In addition, the film marks a new collaboration between the director and Gallner, an actor who starred in Dinner In America (2021) by Rehmeier. Braun and Fleischman produced the film.
