Ingredients
400g pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
200g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
200g mussels (cleaned)
150g calamari (sliced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
400g canned crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup white wine (optional)
3 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (chopped)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Directions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and chili flakes.
- Pour in white wine and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add mussels first, cover, and cook until they begin to open (about 5 minutes).
- Add shrimp and calamari, cooking for another 3–4 minutes until seafood is just cooked.
- Toss in the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
- Finish with lemon juice and fresh parsley. Mix well and serve immediately.
