This seafood pasta is a vibrant, restaurant-quality meal featuring a medley of fresh seafood simmered in a fragrant sauce with herbs, olive oil, and a hint of spice. It’s a perfect balance of freshness and indulgence in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 400g pasta (spaghetti or linguine)

  • 200g shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 200g mussels (cleaned)

  • 150g calamari (sliced)

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)

  • 400g canned crushed tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup white wine (optional)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley (chopped)

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and chili flakes.
  • Pour in white wine and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add mussels first, cover, and cook until they begin to open (about 5 minutes).
  • Add shrimp and calamari, cooking for another 3–4 minutes until seafood is just cooked.
  • Toss in the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Finish with lemon juice and fresh parsley. Mix well and serve immediately.
