What could happen if you invite your neighbors to a dinner? An extremely funny and unexpected situation is what unfolds in the first official trailer of sex comedy The Invite directed by Olivia Wilde.

By the way, this is the actress-turned-director's third feature film, following the releases of Booksmart (2019) y Don’t Worry Darling (2022).

To the rhythm of the 70's disco hit, “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward, A24 the trailer for the film starring Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz y Edward Nortonwith a plot that follows Angela and Joe (Wilde and Rogen) and how their marriage has fallen into routine. Angela invites her enigmatic neighbors (Cruz and Norton) to her house for cocktails, and they unexpectedly discover how their neighbors are polyamorous and might be hosting weekly orgies.

If the plot sounds familiar, it's because The Invite is an English-language remake of the Spanish film, Sentimental (2020).

In the trailer, Cruz's character, who is at the time at his neighbors' house, tells Wilde and Rogen's characters, “I feel a strong connection with you,” while Angela and Joe begin to notice the true intention behind the words, appearing bewildered and at the same time… interested.

Check out the fun trailer at the end of the note.
