Polkadot Stingray «Gyaku-sama / Upside down» – I've been immersed in the Japanese music scene for several years now and continue to get to know great new bands almost every day – more than I can ever introduce here in the blog. Very early on in my journey I met Polkadot Stingray, an initial indie quartet that got a major contract a few years ago and has been very successful ever since. Their music sounds very typically Japanese, especially when they venture into jazzy realms like their great new single, which is accompanied by a beautifully designed music video.

Makthaverskan “Won't Wait” – the Gothenburg band Makthaverskan is already a permanent fixture in my blog, and they have been releasing their music, which is somewhere between wave and jangle-pop, with great regularity for several years. Their new, thoroughly successful album “Glass and Bones” was recently released.
