With premiere on HBO and HBO Max scheduled for Sunday June 21the trailer follows up on what was seen in the teaser trailer shown last February, anticipating the arrival of the bloody war known as the Dance of the Dragons.
“There will be no doubt who the gods have chosen to rule,” Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) intones at one point, making us worry about how matter-of-factly Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) is seen sitting on the Iron Throne.
Take a look at the trailer, almost two minutes long, at the end of the note.
The second season concluded with all the characters preparing for some of the franchise's biggest historical events, including the Battle of the Gorge (also known as the Battle of the Gorge), a naval battle that occurs within the Dance of the Dragons.
The new season will include the anticipated Battle of the Throat sequence, originally planned for the second season, which was ultimately decided to be moved to the third season, after the number of episodes in the second season was reduced to eight.
The Battle of the Gaznate will be the starter of the third season of the dragon house.
In case you don't remember, the eighth and final episode of the second season, “The Queen Who Ever Was”left the table set for the third season to start with the iconic and bloody Battle of the Gullet, a very important story from the book Fire & Blood by Martin.
Ryan Condal y George R.R. Martin are the co-creators, screenwriters and executive producers of the series, based on the novel Fire & Blood by Martin. Condal is the showrunner.
the dragon house sets its plot in Westeros, 200 years before the events portrayed in GoT before the fall of the Throne, exploring the beginning and end of House Targaryen after the unification of the Seven Kingdoms.
The first season dramatized the backstory of key characters in King Viserys's reign and the civil war that resulted from his disrespected succession plans, and other heartbreaking events.
The second season, which ended in August 2024, picks up the story immediately after the death of Lucerys Velaryon, son of Rhaenyra, at the hands of Aemond Targaryen. The season focused on the escalation of the conflict, taking the plot from a cold war to the bloody civil war widely known as the Dance of the Dragons.
The cast of HOTD includes the returns of Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall y Matthew Needham.
Among the new additions of the third season are Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) interpreting the Ser Roderick Dustin; Dan Fogler (A Complete Unknown) as See Torrhen Manderly; y James Norton as Ormund Hightower. In George R. R's books, Martin, Dustin and Hightower face each other on opposite sides. Dustin is also known as “Ruin Roddy.”
