“If you leave a door ajar, you will soon hear whispers. If you leave the window unlocked, you will hear the glass pounding. If you feel lonely, sad and depressed, the Whispering Man will come for you.”
With that chilling rhyme, Netflix shared the first looks to one of its home cinema proposals for the late summer season.
It's about the thriller The Whisper Manstarring Oscar winner, Robert De Niro (The Irishman), Michelle Monaghan (The White Lotus), y Adam Scott (Severance).
The film tells the investigation of a serial killer who was believed to have been imprisoned for years. But when children start disappearing, the nursery rhyme comes to life again, and the retired detective who first arrested the so-called Whispering Man is called back into action.
It is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Alex North.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
āWhen his 8-year-old son is kidnapped, a widowed crime writer seeks the help of his father, an unrelated retired former police detective, and discovers a connection to the decades-old case of a convicted serial killer known as “The Whispering Man.”
