Peacock started the marketing campaign for its new original miniseries, The Five Star Weekendstarring Jennifer Garner (The Last Thing He Told Me).

The official teaser trailer shows Garner planning a weekend away with her friends, while navigating grief over the loss of her husband. Garner plays Hollis, who, deep in grief, embarks on a healing journey with the help of her closest friends: Dru-Ann (Regina Hall), Tatum (Chloë Sevigny), Gigi (Gemma Chan) y Brooke (D’Arcy Carden).

According to the series synopsis, Hollis, the “celebrity cook and best-selling author,” suffers a devastating loss before she “occurs with the idea of ​​hosting a weekend getaway at her Nantucket home with three friends from different stages of her life: her childhood, her twenties, her thirties, and a fifth surprise guest.”

“Set against a luxurious coastal backdrop, the protagonists will mature in ways they never imagined as boundaries are pushed and secrets are revealed.”

The miniseries adapts Elin Hilderbrand's 2023 novel of the same name.

The trailer, accompanied by The Cranberries' classic “Dreams” theme song, begins with Hollis (Garner) declaring that “this weekend is for five: a weekend of luxury.” During dinner, Hollis comments that she “can't believe” they're all together and admits, “I think I'm still in shock.”

As Hollis begins a new stage in her life, she acknowledges that she doesn't know “who she is” since her husband Matthew died. “You know what they say works for pain? A Pinot Grigio with a screw cap,” Tatum jokes.

Things take an unexpected turn when Brooke (Carden) reveals that she has been hiding something from Hollis. “Don't you deserve to know the truth, even if it hurts?” Brooke asks Tatum and Dru-Ann. Meanwhile, Hollis appears to have found a new boyfriend, leading to mixed feelings with her daughter Caroline (Harlow Jane).
