Supergirl has everything ready for its release in theaters, scheduled for the month of June.

The latest in the marketing campaign is a new look shared by Fandango, in which we see the protagonist, Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon, Sirens), in full characterization as Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl.

Alcock debuted the character at the end of Superman (2025) by James Gunn, when he stumbles upon the Man of Steel's fortress of solitude.

Supergirl is the next installment of the DCU Warner Bros.the revamped DC universe, from the co-presidents and co-CEOs of DC Studios, James Gunn y Peter Safranwhose starter marked him Superman (2025). In addition to Supergirlthe DCU is planning the launch of the HBO series, Lanternsfor August 2026.

By the way, the movie is based on Tom King's 2022 comics, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. In the comic, Supergirl and the young alien Knoll travel the galaxy to hunt down Krem of Yellow Hill after he murdered her father in cold blood.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

The film follows Kara Zor-El on a dark interstellar journey of revenge and justice following a personal attack.

Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya) directs the script written by Ana Nogueira.

In addition to Alcock, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Eve Ridley (), David Corenswet (), Emily Beecham (King & Conqueror), Wil Coban (Sandman), Alice Hewkin (The Athena), y David Krumholtz (The Studio).

The DCU made its arrival following the conclusion of the previous DC Extended Universe (DCEU), which ended with the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in December 2023. Gunn began working on a new Superman film in summer 2022, after being named co-president and co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Safran.

The producers are Gunn and Safran, with executive producers Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther.

Supergirl opens in theaters and in IMAX on June 26, 2026.
