Will there be a sequel to the horror sensation 'Obsession'? Curry Barker confirms it

Since the launch of Obsession in theaters in May, and the furor unleashed, Barker has commented in numerous interviews that he is exploring the idea of ​​a new installment. First, Barker stated: “There are ideas for a sequel to this film, or even an anthology television series. Who knows? “I'm not saying anything, but you never know what can happen.”

Barker then explained to Deadline: “Obviously, I have a couple of other things I'm excited about, but I do see Obsession 2 possible.. Or even, what I'm really excited about, is an anthology, like an hour-long episode.”

And while the filmmaker is still in that stage where he's trying to absorb the absolute madness his film has wrought, there appear to be at least vague plans for the universe of Obsession. These days he told THR:

“I have a great idea that I'm not going to reveal. I don't want to jump right into Obsession 2. I'm not saying it has to be five or six years from now. But I think people would be just as excited if it came a little later. “It's a whirlwind and I'm trying to figure it out.”
