Masal & Emma Anderson «Pause the Rain» – to be honest, I had never heard of the British-Turkish duo Maasal until the release of this single and only became aware of the song through Emma Anderson (who is best known from her time in the English shoegaze legends Lush). The song definitely brings together wonderful psychedelic shoegaze elements with Emma's pleasant voice and is a pleasant surprise for me.

Sad Happy Birthdays «Kiss Goodbye» – I thought to myself that I would stay in dream pop realms in terms of sound, but switch back to Japan. The singer Katie Ford, daughter of an American and a Japanese mother, plays very western-oriented indie pop with English-language lyrics, reminiscent of the golden indie era in the 1980s and 1990s. Her new single is really easy on the ears and comes from her debut album.
