This week we will have the launch of the second episode of the fourth season of the popular series Ted Lasso of Apple TVand the streamer prepares the audience with a new trailer that invites everyone to “trust the process.”
The new season welcomes the return of the beloved coach played by Jason Sudeikis to AFC Richmond, three years after leaving England.
This time, Ted takes on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's soccer team, created under Keeley and Rebecca's new partnership. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to act without thinking, taking risks in ways they never thought possible.
In addition to Sudeikis, season four marks the return of fan favorites, including the Emmy Award-winning Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, the Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein like Roy Kent, Brendan Hunt Like Coach Beard and Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins. Andrea Anders She also returns as Michelle Lasso, Ted's ex-wife and Henry's mother.
While the first episode of the fourth season focused on Rebecca, Keeley and Leslie's visit to Kansas City, with the aim of persuading Ted – who now works in a supermarket – to return to England and become the coach of the new women's soccer team, the second episode will follow Ted's arrival at the AFC Richmond training camp, where he will meet a new coach and the members of the soccer team.

Some of the new additions to the cast are Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education) as a new assistant coach, Grant Feely (Obi-Wan Kenobi) as Henry Lasso, Ted's son, in a recasting of the role played by Gus Turner in the previous seasons, Jude Mack (Back in Action), Faye Marsay (Andor), Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkeyy Abbie Hern.
Sudeikis is the star, executive producer and co-creator.
Ted Lasso is based on a character Sudeikis played in a series of NBC Sports Premier League promos. Sudeikis developed the series with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kellyy Bill Lawrence; Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, is another of the series' writers.
Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh joined as writers and producers for the fourth season.
Jack Burditt (Nobody Wants This, 30 Rock) is executive producer of the fourth season, along with Sudeikis, Hunt, Kelly, Lawrence, and Goldstein. Leanne Bowen, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer are other executive producers.
Warner Bros. TV produces the series along with Universal TV and Doozer.
Ted Lasso premiered the fourth season August 5. A new episode will be released every Wednesday, culminating with the finale on October 7. The fourth season will consist of 10 episodes, compared to 12 in the previous seasons.
