A24 continues to prepare audiences for the theatrical release of its new action-horror thriller Onslaught of Adam Wingardreleasing a couple of official posters.
These posters have a retro style that suits the project starring Adria Arjona (Andor, Blink Twice, Hit Man) as a skilled sniper who will do anything to protect her daughter from a band of rebel super soldiers, and Dan Stevens (The Guest, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire) like the German mad scientist who created them.
The posters also allow glimpses of the rest of the main cast members such as Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla vs Kong), Michael Biehn (Terminator), Drew Starkey (Outer Banks, Queer), the UFC champion, Alex Pereira, Eric Wareheim (Master of None) y Reginald VelJohnson (franchise Die Hard). The only one absent is Jacob Scipio (Passengers, Bad Boys: Ride or Die).
Luckily for all fans of Wingard's work, the filmmaker confirmed during his participation at the San Diego Comic-Con that It is a spiritual sequel to The Guest. Wingard visualized Onslaught as the “culmination of a trilogy. I thought what was You’re Next, The Guest and then Onslaught. Y Onslaught takes place in the same city as The Guestand there are thematic connections between the two.”
The plot of Onslaught follows a mother (Arjona) living in a trailer park, who uses her skills to protect her loved ones from a threat that escaped from a secret military base, while mercenaries try to contain her.
Wingard directs the script co-written by himself with his frequent collaborator, Simon Barrett (The Guest, You’re Next, Godzilla x Kong).
While we wait for the release of Onslaughttake a look at the posters at the end of the note.
