“Killers of the Flower Moon is your masterpiece” – Cine3.com

From one legendary filmmaker to another. This was the most iconic Q&A session of our times, in which Steven Spielberg interviewed Martin Scorseseafter a special screening of Scorsese's most recent film, Killers of the Flower Moon.

The screening of the titled in our market as The Moon Killers, took place at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, CA., to a 100% full house. At the end of the film, Spielberg and Scorsese took the stage (via THR):

“For me, watching your film is an exceptional experience,” Spielberg tells Scorsese. “You know how I feel about all your films, but this one stands out in a way that is very impactful to me. It's an epic journey, but for me it's not a Hollywood epic; It is a humanitarian epic”.

The conversation touched on topics such as the importance of building trust with the Osage Nation, the revelation of the interpretation of Lily Gladstonewith Spielberg closing by saying:

“You are the master of our medium and this is your masterpiece, Marty.”

The film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by David Grann, whose plot –inspired by true events– It is set in the 1920s, and tells how A series of oil murders of Native American tribesmen of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma emerged as one of the first major homicide investigations by the newly created FBI.

The main cast is made up of Gladstone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, y Tantoo Cardinal.

SYNOPSIS:

“In 1920s Oklahoma, the Osage Nation were the richest people per capita in the world, after oil was discovered beneath their lands. And then they were killed, one by one.
