The studios will release the sequel in cinemas around the world on March 1, 2024. This date includes functions of Dune: Part Two in IMAX format.

The plot will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he joins Chani and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Villeneuve, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick are producers. Executive producers include Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Brian Herbert, Byron Merrit, Kim Herbert, Thomas Tull, Spaihts, Richard P. Rubinstein, and John Harrison, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.
