The marketing campaign for the action-horror thriller Onslaught of Adam Wingard (The Guest, You’re Next, Godzilla x Kong) y A24debuted a new official promoahead of its theatrical release in September.
The plot of Onslaught follows a mother and skilled sniper (played by Adria Arjona) who lives in a trailer park, who uses her abilities to protect her young daughter from a threat that escaped from a secret military base, while mercenaries try to contain her.
This threat is about rebel super soldiers created by a German mad scientist played by Dan Stevens (The Guest, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire).

Wingard directs the script co-written by him, along with his frequent collaborator, Simon Barrett (The Guest, You’re Next, Godzilla x Kong).
The rest of the cast includes Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla vs Kong), Michael Biehn (Terminator), Drew Starkey (Outer Banks, Queer), the UFC champion, Alex Pereira, Eric Wareheim (Master of None), Reginald VelJohnson (franchise Die Hard) y Jacob Scipio (Passengers, Bad Boys: Ride or Die).
Luckily for all fans of Wingard's work, the filmmaker confirmed during his participation at the San Diego Comic-Con that It is a spiritual sequel to The Guest. Wingard visualized Onslaught as the “culmination of a trilogy. I thought which was You're Next, The Guest and then Onslaught. And Onslaught takes place in the same city as The Guest, and there are thematic connections between the two.”

After starting in the industry with independent film projects such as You’re Nexty The GuestWingard tried his luck with the following Hollywood IPs: Blair Witch, Death Note, and installments of the MonsterVerse Godzilla vs Kong y Godzilla x Kong: The New Empireand now, he returns to the indie scene with Onslaught.
