Under that premise, Paramount Pictures presented the First official trailer of the reboot of The Running Man of the filmmaker Edgar Wrightbased on Stephen King's novel.
After starring box office hits as Hit Man, Anyone but You y Twisters, Glen Powell Star on the remake of the titled The survivor In our market.
Based on the 1982 King novel (which later became a 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger), The survivor It takes place in a dystopian society where a contest faces the contestants, called “runners”, against murderers also known as “hunters.”
This is Wright's most recent feature film, after directing Last Night in Soho (2021).
In addition to Powell in the main role, the cast has Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Katy O’Brian (Love Lies Bleeding), Josh Brolin (Sicario), Lee Pace (Guardians of the Galaxy), y Michael Cera (The Phoenician Scheme).
Official synopsis:
“In the near future,” the survivor “is the program of greatest audience on television: a mortal competition where contestants, known as runners, must survive 30 days while they are persecuted by professional murderers. Each movement is transmitted to a blood thirsty for blood and every day increases the reward in cash. But ruthless producer of the program, Dan Killian (Josh Brolin), to join the game as a last resort.
Wright co -written the script with Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs the World, 21 Jump Street, Project X). It is based on King's novel.
The feature film is produced by Simon Kinberg, Nira Park, and Edgar Wright. The executive producers are George Linder, James Biddle, Rachel Prior, Audrey Chon, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary.
Paramount plans the premiere of The survivor In cinemas for November 6 in Latin Americaand the November 7 in the United States.
