HBO Max confirmed a few moments ago that, the revival of Sex and the City has been renewed for a second seasonwith the return of the original stars and executive producers Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Christine Davisreprising their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York Goldenblatt, respectively.
The official synopsis for season 2 has fans on edge, as HBO Max simply mentions that the new season will follow the core group of friends as they continue to navigate the joys and tribulations of friendship at 50, so far the same synopsis. for the first season.
Season 1 concluded with Miranda (Nixon) preparing to travel to Los Angeles to accompany Che (Sarah Ramirez), with Carrie (Parker) returning to Paris to say goodbye to Mr. Big (Chris Noth), and sharing an elevator kiss with her boss (Iván Hernández).
On the renewal, Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max, commented:

The first season premiered its first two episodes on HBO Max on December 9, 2021, releasing the remaining eight on a weekly basis.
And Just Like That did not count on the return of Kim Cattrall, after the actress publicly declares that she has no interest in retaking her role as Samantha Jones. However, King kept her character present in the revival in the form of shared text messages between Samantha and Carrie. Her absence from her storyline was attributed to a friendship breakdown between her and Carrie due to the latter firing her as her publicist. For the season finale, it was suggested that the two would have a reunion in Paris.
