Light, silky, and wonderfully satisfying, angel hair pasta is ideal when you want a comforting meal without something too heavy. Because the noodles are so fine, they absorb sauces quickly and deliver flavor in every bite. Whether topped with herbs, seafood, or a simple drizzle of olive oil, this pasta brings a touch of Mediterranean charm to the table.

Ingredients

  • 200 g angel hair pasta

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more for pasta water)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)

Directions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook for 2–3 minutes or until al dente.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add red pepper flakes if using.
  • Reserve about 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. Add the pasta directly into the skillet with the garlic oil.
  • Add a splash of reserved pasta water and toss gently to coat the noodles evenly.
  • Stir in salt, black pepper, lemon juice (optional), and Parmesan cheese.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately while hot.
