Ingredients

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 100 g butter at room temperature

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 50 g butter at room temperature

  • Cinnamon powder to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Add the butter and eggs to the dry mixture. 
    Mix well until you get a crumbly texture.
  • Gradually add milk to the mixture, stirring until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
  • In a greased and floured rectangular shape, spread half the dough in the background.
  • Distribute the banana slices over the dough in the form.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon for the filling and sprinkle over the bananas.
  • Cover the bananas with the rest of the dough.
  • In a bowl, prepare the farofa by mixing the flour, sugar and butter until you get a crumbly texture. 
    Add cinnamon to taste.
  • Spread the farofa over the top layer of dough.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
