The romantic and sexy sports drama Challengers of Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Suspiria, Bones and All), which was scheduled to be the opening film of the 80th edition of the Venice Film Festival, held last September, reactivates its marketing campaign, after having canceled its premiere that month due to the strikes of the Writers' Union and Actors, which have already been resolved.

with new Release date set for April 26, 2024, MGM y Warner Bros. present to the audience the official poster of the titled in Mexico as Challenging. MGM will distribute in the United States and Canada, while WB will distribute in the international market.

The plot of Challengers follow Zendaya (Euphoria) as a former tennis prodigy turned coach, who becomes embroiled in a love triangle with Patrick and Art, played by Josh O’Connor (The Crown) y Mike Faist (West Side Story).

“From visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, Challengers stars Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who is unapologetic about her play on and off the court. Married to a down-on-his-luck champion (Mike Faist – West Side Story), Tashi's strategy for her husband's redemption takes a surprising turn when she must confront the failed Patrick (Josh O'Connor – The Crown), former best friend and Tashi's ex-boyfriend. As her past and present collide, and tensions rise, Tashi must wonder how much it will cost to win.”

Zendaya trained for three months with professional tennis coach Brad Gilbert, in preparation for the role. Gilbert also served as a consultant on the film.

Guadagnino directs the script Justin Kuritzkes (Ticklish). Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross compose the soundtrack. Amy Pascal and Guadagnino produce, with Bernard Bellew and Kevin Ulrich executive producing.
