For your chickpea salad to be perfect, use the ingredients from the list below and follow the step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the recipe.


  • Chickpeas 1/2 packet (250g)

  • Lemon or vinegar a few drops

  • 1 piece chopped seedless tomato

  • 1/2 piece chopped red onion

  • 1/2 piece chopped yellow pepper

  • 1/2 piece grated carrot

  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) olive oil

  • Vinegar or lemon juice 2 tbsp (30 mL)

  • salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • chopped green pepper to taste


  • Wash 1/2 pack chickpeas (250g) under running water;
  • Add drops of lemon or vinegar;
  • Cover with water;
  • Cover and leave in the fridge for 8 to 12 hours;
  • Discard the water;
  • Place the chickpeas in a pressure cooker and cover with water;
  • Cook under pressure for 5 to 10 minutes;
  • Transfer the chickpeas to a platter;
  • Add chopped seedless tomato 1 unit;
  • Add 1/2 piece of chopped red onion;
  • Add 1/2 piece chopped yellow pepper;
  • Add 1/2 piece grated carrot;
  • Add chopped green smell to taste;
  • Mix;
  • In a bowl, mix 1/3 cup (80 mL) Olive Oil with 2 Tbsp (30 mL) Vinegar or Lemon Juice, Salt and Black Pepper to taste;
  • Add over the salad;
  • Mix well;
