Check out the list of ingredients needed for your Chocolate Fondue to be very tasty:
Ingredients
200g dark or milk chocolate (or a combination of both)
1 cup sour cream (cream)
Fresh fruits (strawberries, bananas, grapes, kiwi, etc.)
Other options for dipping (marshmallows, pieces of cake, cookies, etc.)
Directions
- Start by chopping the chocolate into small, even pieces.
The smaller the chocolate is chopped, the easier it is to melt smoothly. - In a small saucepan, heat the cream over medium heat until it starts to boil.
Do not bring to a full boil, just heat until bubbles appear around the edges of the pan. - Remove the pan from the heat and add the chopped chocolate pieces to the hot cream.
- Stir gently until all the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a chocolate fondue container.
- Wash and cut fresh fruit into small pieces ready for dipping.
- Place the marshmallows, pieces of cake, cookies or other dipping options on separate plates.
- Skewer the fruit and other delights on the tips of fondue forks.
- Dip the tips of the forks into the melted chocolate and enjoy!
Notes
- If the chocolate starts to set while you are enjoying the fondue, you can reheat it over low heat or in the microwave, being careful not to overheat it.
- If you prefer a sweeter fondue, you can add a little sugar to the cream while heating it.
