Ingredients

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 cups of milk

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 1 cup of cornmeal

  • 1/2 cup wheat flour

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon of butter

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold with butter and flour.
  • In the blender, add the eggs, sugar, milk, cornmeal, wheat flour, vegetable oil and salt. 
    Beat everything until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  • Then add the butter and baking powder and whisk quickly just to incorporate the ingredients.
  • Pour the dough into the previously greased mold.
  • Take it to the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the cake is golden and when inserting a toothpick in the center, it comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
  • Serve the creamy cornmeal cake accompanied by a fresh coffee or whatever you prefer.
