The intersectional, queer feminist network FEM* VAK has been committed to the exchange and empowering of Flinta* and queer artists in Leipzig for a long time. Now a new website has gone online, which should definitely be in your FAV-Link list. Why? It is here.

FEM*VAK has been active for around five years and has moved a lot since then: through several parties and network meetings, but also through a regular podcast series and with its own headquarters. Everything with one goal: Leipzig Flinta*-acts from the various electronic music scenes support by networking, presenting, exchanging them and planning new things together.

Now there is a new milestone: At Femvak.de, a website is now public that acts as an extensive online platform for information and networking. In addition to reversing for past events, a glossary for relevant terms and a collection of thematically associated articles and campaign contributions, the actual heart of the new side of the artist pool is.

Around 40 musically active Flinta* from Leipzig and the region are currently listed there – with short description texts and all relevant links. You have already known many names from the raven or our cheerful party tips, but there are also some new discoveries. For me, for example, Margarethe Specht.

Particularly good: not only musicians and DJs are listed in the artist pool, but also Flinta*who are active behind the scenes of club culture – as a sound designer, technician, artist or stage builder. The pool currently does not offer a complete overview, but: it is open to new entries.

Simply register and you will be visible here soon. Because of course it is primarily important: that bookers, collectives, organizers can no longer cope with lightly and say: “Sorry, but there are no suitable flinta*-acts” or “sorry, I don't know any flinta*-djs.”

Incidentally, the new FEM*VAK website has designed Leipzig UI/UX and communication designer Sainalabidin al-Saadi. “Instead of working for a fee for a fee, Sain deliberately accompanied the project as Ally – out of conviction and the desire to support our work. For us, a strong sign of how solidary cooperation in the creative area and above all as Ally can look”says Jojo von Fem*VAK in exchange with us.

Full of support also from us – and definitely listen to and read into the podcasts with small interviews on Instagram.
