The The Directors Guild Awards of America (DGA) announced all nominees in film categories for the 2023 DGA Award for Best Feature Film of the Year 2022.
The category of Achievement in the Direction of Feature Film of the 75th edition of the DGA Award is made up of Todd Field (Warehouse), Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Martin McDonagh for (The Banshees of Inisherin), y Steven Spielberg (The Fabelmans).
The nominees for Achievement in Directing for First Feature are Alice Diop (Saint-Omer), Audrey Diwan (Happening), Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic (Murina), Charlotte Wells (After sun), y John Patton Ford (Emily the Criminal).
- Only 8 of 74 editions made by the Directors Guild, the winner for best feature film director, has not coincided with the winner in that category at the Oscar Award. DGAs are considered a strong predictor of Oscars.
Winners in the film and television categories will be announced on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
