With a theatrical release set for April 5, 2023, Universal Pictures Horror Comedy Marketing Campaign Continues Cocaine Bear, fourth feature film of Elizabeth Banks as a director, who counts the “story of a drug trafficker whose plane crashes with a shipment of cocaine that is found by a black bear, who eats it.”

The campaign in charge of the studio is at its peak, the most recent being the launch of the first behind the scenes (BTS), which, with the help of the director, producers and actors, the audience better understands what is to be seen… which looks like utter insanity.

The film directed by Banks, and scripted by Jimmy Warden“it is Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug dealer’s plane crash, the missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it. This wacky black comedy finds a strange group of cops, criminals, tourists and teenagers converging in a Georgia forest. where a 500 pound black bear has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone berserk from more beatings and blood.”

If you are not familiar with the story, this premise will surely catch you or at least tempt your curiosity. The featurette you find at the end of the note.

Meanwhile we tell you that the good cast is headed by Ray Liotta –in one of his last papers–Keri Russell, Margo Martindale, Alden Ehrenreich, Christopher Hivju, Matthew Rhys, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Isiah Whitlock Jr., Jesse Tyler Fergusonamong others.

Earlier, Banks shared some details to know about his movie:

Cocaine Bear is a horror comedy. There are a lot of horror tropes that we played with in the movie. You know, it’s a bear on cocaine that attacks people! But it’s also a really fun character piece. This is a large group of people who come together and are very much in their heads. Everyone goes after the drugs, and no one realizes that the bear got there first.

“[El guión de Jimmy Warden] it was so unique, and I thought it really offered me an opportunity to play in a genre that I hadn’t really considered before, and do something original.

“Cocaine Bear is super entertaining. If you want to drop everything in your life for 95 minutes, this is a great way to do it.. It’s an amazing adventure.
