Faulieu. «Annoyed» (Ai urusai/struck by love)-more and more new all-female rock and indie tands in Japan have been sprouting in Japan for a while-a sign that the Japanese music scene has started to change really clearly this millennium. It is becoming increasingly normal that musicians also write and produce all songs themselves and just do their own thing, even if the music industry in Japan is still (too) male -dominated.

A good example of this is the young quartet Faulieu, which has been active for a few years (formerly as a fleufleu) and plays rather great guitar indoor skirt, which always has the typical Japanese flair-consisting of the unfamiliar chord sequences, changes of rhythm and simply the fact that Japanese songs are often very varied and do not repeat themselves so badly. The new single is your Imho best song so far and gives me hope for the new EP/album.

Pulp «Spike Island» -Well, that was a surprise in my email inbox-the label introduced me to a new single from the Brit-Pop veteran Pulp, together with the announcement that the new album (the first in over 20 years) will also be released on June 6th. The single is not earth-shattering now, but already pretty nice to hear Jarvis & Co. once again, and the video is probably a kind of AI criticism (that's how I read it).
