The plot of the series explores the rivalry between Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio).

At the end of the note we share the preview, which includes a look at Johnny with Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), and another brief look at a fight.

The producers of the series said in an official statement when the final season was announced:

“Reacquainting the world with the Karate Kid universe has been our humble honor. Making Cobra Kai has allowed us to join the same sacred dojo that once inhabited the great Robert Mark Kamen, John Avildsen, Jerry Weintraub and all the incredible members of the original cast. It has also allowed us to play sensei, expanding the original stories and giving birth to new generations of underdogs. We have never taken this opportunity for granted. Our goal of the first day with Cobra Kai has always been to finish it on our terms , leaving the Valley in the time and place we have always imagined. It is with immense pride and gratitude to have been able to announce that achievement.”

Josh Healdthey showrunner Cobra Kairevealed in an interview with Collider in 2023 that there is room for possible spinoffs:

“We'll never give real closure when it comes to anything. We love working in the Cobra Kai universe, so there's always the possibility of revisiting that world. We're certainly thinking about other ideas within the Miyagi-verse, and It's only a matter of time before we find out exactly which direction we're going to head in. […] We are very excited about season 6 of Cobra Kai. We will say goodbye with everything and it will be an incredible experience for fans of the franchise.”
