The highly anticipated sequel Dune: Part Two of Denis Villeneuve, Warner Bros. y Legendarykicks off the marketing campaign by releasing the first official glimpses of its great cast.

Vanity Fair magazine shares some promotional images of cast members such as Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendayay Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgårdy dave bautista, who are back reprising their roles as Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica Atreides, Chani, Gurney Halleck, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, and Glossu Rabban Harkonnen, respectively. We also see the new members Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Don’t Worry Darling), Austin Butler (Elvis), y Léa Seydoux (Crimes of the Future, No Time to Die).

The absent are Christopher Walken (Severance, The Outlaws), y Tim Blake Nelson (Cabinet of Curiosities, Nightmare Alleyserie Watchmen).

For the sequel, Villeneuve resumes his work as screenwriter, director and producer, while Jon Spaihts returns as co-writer.

Villeneuve, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick are the producers. Executive producers include Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Brian Herbert, Byron Merrit, Kim Herbert, Thomas Tull, Spaihts, Richard P. Rubinstein, and John Harrison, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.

Dune It was conceived to be made in two parts, since Frank Herbert’s literary material is so rich and extensive that one film was not enough to adequately cover all the stories, and the themes addressed in it, such as religion, politics, and the environment. .

Dune arrived in US theaters on October 22, 2021, where it also had a simultaneous release on HBO Max. At the domestic box office, it collected $40.1 million dollars, becoming the best hybrid release of 2021, and the best domestic release in Villeneuve’s career. In the international market –where it premiered a week earlier– it totaled $180.6 million dollars, for a global total of $220.2 million dollars. The plot is set in the distant future, where humanity is spread throughout the galaxy. People reside on planets that are overseen by feudal Houses that operate under Imperial rule. These factions fight to control access to the most valuable resource in the universe, a rare spice that can only be found on the most valuable desert planet in the universe: Arrakis.

The spice not only enables space travel, but extends the lives of those who ingest it, providing them with a level of omen that these interconnected space colonies depend on for their survival. The rich world of Herbert’s novels encompasses factions and communities that have made her a darling of generations for decades.


The plot will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides as he joins Chani and the Fremen as he seeks revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, he strives to avoid a terrible future that only he can foresee.
