Follow the POV of the murderer in the promo for the slasher 'In a Violent Nature'

This weekend, the arthouse slasher premiered in theaters in the US and Canada In a Violent Naturewhich since its premiere at Sundance 2024, has been highlighted as one of its main attributes being told from the point of view of the murderer. That is, as an audience we can follow the villain at all times by having the camera behind him.

And this POV is precisely highlighted in the most recent promo, which shows us the antagonist harassing his victims in a lake, in a sequence that at times reminds us of the classic Friday the 13th.

The slasher currently does not have distribution in Mexico. You can find the promotional video with the scene in question at the end of this note.

Meanwhile, we tell you that the film by the writer and director Chris Nash (The ABCs of Death 2), is supported by the study IFC Films and the streamer Shudder.

The plot of In a Violent Naturerevolves around “The enigmatic resurrection, rampage and retribution of an undead monster in a remote desert unleashes an iconic new killer.”

SYNOPSIS:

“When a reliquary is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs Johnny's rotting corpse, a vengeful spirit spurred by a horrible crime that occurred 60 years ago, resurrects his body and sets out to recover it. The undead golem zeroes in on the group of vacationing teenagers responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in its mission to recover it, along with anyone who stands in its way.”

The cast is headed by Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone, Charlotte Creaghan, Lea Rose Sebastianis, Sam Roulston, Alexander Oliver y Lauren Taylor.
