For your Fried Sausage Wrap to be perfect, follow the step-by-step instructions and use the ingredients below.

Ingredients

  • For mass:
  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 2 cups of water

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 chicken bouillon cube

  • salt to taste

  • For the filling:
  • Sausages (desired amount)

  • Mozzarella cheese (optional)

  • barbecue sticks

Directions

  • In a large pot, add the water, butter, chicken stock cube and salt to taste.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • As soon as it boils, add the wheat flour all at once and stir quickly until the dough starts to come apart from the bottom of the pan.
Keep stirring for a few more minutes to cook the flour.
  • Remove the dough from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes until you can handle it without burning yourself.
  • Take small portions of dough and open in the palm of your hand, forming a circle or oval.
  • Place a sausage in the center of the dough.
If you prefer, add a piece of mozzarella cheese over the sausage.
  • Roll the dough around the sausage, sealing the ends tightly.
Make sure the sausage is completely covered in the batter.
  • Insert a skewer into the center of the roll to keep it firm during frying.
  • Heat oil in a pan deep enough to cover the rolls.
  • When the oil is very hot (approximately 180°C), carefully place the rolls one by one.
Don’t put too many at once so you don’t lower the oil temperature.
  • Fry the rolls until golden and crispy on the outside.
This should take about 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove the rolls from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Remove the barbecue sticks from the rolls.
  • Serve the sausage rolls while still warm.
They can be accompanied by sauces of your choice, such as ketchup, mustard, seasoned mayonnaise, etc.
