The Guardians of the Galaxy assemble for one last adventure in the first official trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3which had been revealed at SDCC 2022, however, the promotional material had not been made public until now at the Marvel Studios panel at Brazil Comic Con CCXP 2022.
This is the third and final installment of the James Gunn trilogyin addition to being Gunn’s last film with Marvel Studios before leaving for his work with DC Studios.
The argument of Vol. 3 is set after the events of Thor: Love and Thunderwith the return of the usual suspects: Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (dave bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), y Large (Vin Diesel).
In the preview we see Peter still mourning the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), with the main plot of the film centering on the foul-mouthed and armed Rocket, who may finally unravel the mystery of his origin. They also show us some new faces: Chukwudi Iwuji (Peacemaker) joins the cast as the High Evolutionary, Maria Bakalova (Borat, Bodies Bodies Bodies) voices Cosmo the Spacedog, and the long-awaited official first look at Will Poulter como Adam Warlockthe shiny gold superman who was first shown in 2017 in the post-credits scene of Vol.2.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in theaters on May 5, 2023.
