Warner Bros. The marketing campaign begins for the latest M. Night Shyamalan (Knock at the Cabin, The Sixth Sense, Glass, Old), the horror thriller Trapreleasing the first official trailer.
The trailer, available at the end of the note, establishes the premise of the film, with a father, played by Josh Hartnett (Oppenheimer, Pearl Harbor), taking his daughter to a Lady Raven concert (Saleka Shyamalan), only to discover something much more sinister happening on the premises.
We see the evening begin with excitement, until Hartnett's character notices the presence of numerous police officers who surround the arena and set up surveillance equipment. As law enforcement searches for a serial killer who is supposed to attend Lady Raven's show, Harnett's character worries about the safety of his daughter. But in a major turn of events, Hartnett's character is revealed to be the criminal the police are looking for and must find a way to survive the concert undetected. The film's title refers to how the killer will be trapped in a crowded arena, and time is running out for the evil protagonist.
The rest of the cast completes it Hayley Mills (The Wheel of Time, Unforgotten), Marnie McPhail (Orphan Black: Echoes, The Way Home), Vanessa Smythe (The Expanse, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), Scott Ian MacDugall, Kristi Woodsy Cali Lorella.

Trap is the first film Shyamalan has made under his new deal with Warner Bros., which has been described as a “multi-year first-look directing and producing deal.”
Shyamalan is the director, screenwriter and producer. Marc Bienstock is another of the producers.
Trap will be released in theaters on August 9, 2024 (previously released on August 2).
