We already announced it the other day – today the time has come: Bells Echo is back again. After the exciting evening in the Heilandskirche in Plagwitz, today we go to the place where it all began at Bells Echo 2015 – the Lindenau Philippuskirche.

And with a real ambient legend: William Basinski. The American musician and composer is known for his minimalist compositions and soundscapes. With “The Disintegration Loops” he released a series of ambient works that consist of old tape recordings that gradually disintegrate. With Bells Echo he will create a unique sound from analog tapes and their manipulation. With pieces from classical music, opera and field recordings.

No less exciting: Maria W Horn. The Swede has made a name for herself with her avant-garde electronic and orchestral works. Her work explores the boundaries of sound and space, often combining elements of drone, noise and contemporary classical. The Philippus Church will provide an impressive setting for both.
