LIA LIA, Caramel Candid | Coast Is Clear

LIA LIA «Adore You» – a tip made me aware of the German-Chinese LIA LIA (whose real name is Lia Wang). Her music is stylistically broad, she has also performed with the rapper Doja Cat, but I (of course) particularly like her darker and indie-sounding songs. Like the single “Adore You”, which reminds me a little of Blood Red Shoes. In other words, music that can certainly be gripping, but sometimes just smolders. Very cool! The debut album “Armor” will be released on October 2nd.

Caramel Candied «@kiemasuyoni» – the Japanese band Caramel Candid around the singer and songwriter Oto is a whole step rougher. Like LIA LIA, they definitely have a punk attitude, play a mixture of indie pop and math rock moments and their lyrics are often very much influenced by the struggle with loneliness, melancholy and longing.
