Lionsgate just announced a small change to its release schedule, affecting two of its highest-profile projects (via Deadline).

On the one hand, the new version of The Crow from the director Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Hunstman, Ghost in the Shell) rules out its launch on June 7, 2024, to set as new release date August 23, 2024.

The reboot of The Ravendescribed as a modern reimagining of James O'Barr's graphic novel, stars Bill Skarsgård (saga IT, Barbarian) as Eric Draven, the singer and songwriter, FKA Twigs (Honeyboy) as Shelly Webster, Draven's betrothed, Danny Huston (Succession) in an antagonistic role, Laura Birn (Foundation), Sami Bouajila (A Son), y Jordan Bolger (The Woman King).

The plot centers on “soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA Twigs) who are brutally murdered when demons from their dark past catch up with them. Given the opportunity to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to exact ruthless revenge on his murderers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to right the wrongs.
