James Wan is working as executive producer on a series of the technological spy thriller genre with a house in Peacockwho has just made some signings.

The confirmed ones are Melissa Barrera (Abigail, Scream VI), Sinclair Daniel (The Other Black Girl), Brian d’Arcy James (Spotlight), Mark O’Brien (City on a Hill), y Kathleen Chalfant (Wit). They were all signed in regular roles joining Simu Liu (Shang-Chi, Barbie) in a leading role (via Deadline).

The series does not yet have an official title.

The plot takes place five minutes in the future, when first-generation American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Liu) realizes that his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. . Trapped between his shadowy agency and unknown hackers, he must maintain 24/7 performance to discover who is responsible and prove to whom he is loyal.

  • Barrera will play Michelle, a deceptive character who will keep everyone guessing.
  • Daniel will play Parker, an intelligence officer who finds himself involved in a new world that he must quickly decipher.
  • James will play John Moira, a boss and mentor who is not afraid to make difficult decisions.

Thomas Brandon (Legacies) is the creator, screenwriter and executive producer, with Jennifer Yale (See, Outlander) as coshowrunner and executive producer.

Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett are executive producing on behalf of Atomic Monster, with Liu co-executive producing alongside Mark Winemaker and Jet Wilkinson. Wilkinson will also direct the first two episodes.
