Meltt «Swim Slowly» (Album) – sometimes (okay, often 😉 I actually click on a YouTube video because I find the thumbnail appealing. This is what happened with Canadian band Meltt, whose 2019 album Swim Slowly has a super surreal cover. The music is also appropriate – someone described it as a mixture of Pink Floyd and M83, and that suits me very well. Pleasant “DreamPop” with a psychedelic note, which also reminds me a bit of Midlake.
ART-SCHOOL «Bug» – of course, a Japanese band should not be missing today. I’ve been following ART-SCHOOL for a while, they’ve been releasing indie rock with an often British flair for a good 15 years and have just released a new album, «Luminous», which includes this single. Again very successful.
