New look at Bill Skarsgård in 'Boy Kills World'

We are already a month away from the theatrical release of the action thriller Boy Kills Worldfrom the producers Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) y Roy Lee (IT, Doctor Sleep).

Thus, Lionsgate y Roadside Atrractions They continue the marketing campaign by launching a new look at the protagonist of the plot, Bill Skarsgård (IT, Barbarian).

The project acquired by the studios directly from TIFF's Midnight Madness, stars Skarsgård as Boy, a young deaf with an incredible imagination, who goes in search of revenge after the murder of his family, by Hilda Van Derk Koy (Miss Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless.

Boy Kills World with will be released in theaters on April 26, 2024.

The film is directed by Moritz Mohr from the script of Arend Remmers (Sløborn) y Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie). The feature film is described as a “one-of-a-kind action spectacle, set in a dreamlike, dystopian and feverish reality.”

The rest of the cast is made up Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day, La La Land), Andrew Who (Snake Eyes), Isaiah Mustafa (IT: Chapter Two, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Defending Jacob), Sharlto Copley (District 9, Beast), and the twins Cameron Crovetti y Nicholas Crovetti (Goodnight Mommy, Big Little Lies).

SYNOPSIS:

“Boy (Bill Skarsgård) is a deaf with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, Boy escapes into the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to repress his childhood imagination and become an instrument of death.

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) awarded him the Rated R by:

“Strong bloody violence and gore throughout, language, some drug use and sexual references.”

In addition to Raimi and Lee, producers also include Simon Swart, Alex Lebovici, Stuart Manashil, Wayne Fitzjohn, Zainab Azizi, and Dan Kagan. Executive producers include Sipho Nkosi, Mxolisi Mgojo, Humphrey Mathe, Reza Brojerdi, Christian Mercuri, Mohr and Andrew Childs.
