The marketing campaign that Warner Bros. has created for one of its most high-profile projects this year, Wonkacontinues to release promotional material
The most recent is a new official poster, with colors that invite you to the world of Willy Wonka, with the figure of Timothée Chalamet as the iconic Roald Dahl character in the foreground, accompanied by Hugh Grant like an Oompa Loompa. In the distance you can see other characters from the story.
The rest of the cast is made up Keegan-Michael Key (The Prom), Rowan Atkinson (Johnny English, Mr. Bean), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Olivia Colman (The Favourite) playing the villain, Paterson Joseph (Vigil), Mathew Baynton (The Wrong Mans), y Matt Lucas (Paddington).
The film written and directed by Paul King (Paddington), is described by the filmmaker as “a companion piece” for the 1971 classic, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factorywhich starred Gene Wilder in one of his most important roles in the film mecca.
The Wonka story will focus specifically on a young Willy Wonka and how he met the Oompa-Loompa on one of his first adventures.
The director assured that Wonka will have musical performances, with original songs by Neil Hannon from The Divine Comedy.

The screenplay was co-written by King and Simon Farnaby (Paddington 2), based on a story by King and characters by Roald Dahl.

WB set the premiere of Wonka in theaters from December 14, 2023 in Latin America, and the December 15 in the US
