Lionsgate The third installment of the action and adventure franchise is underway, Now You See Mewith the director Ruben Fleischer.

The film that we currently refer to as Now You See Me 3 and has been described as a “reimagination”, is preparing to start filming soon. In November it was announced that filming would kick off in the spring of 2024, a date that is already very close to arriving.

For now, the cast members confirmed to make their return include Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelsony Jesse Eisenberg. The latter said last December that he was “desperate” to start working on the third installment of the franchise whose plot centers on illusionist thieves known as the Four Horsemen:

It is Eisenberg himself who offers us the most recent news. During an interview with Collider, he revealed that progress on the next film is happening quickly, so filming would be happening soon:

“Yes, I do [leí el guion]. I hope that [el rodaje] happen in the next six months. I think that's how it will be, it seems like that's how it will be. Yes, it's really cool. For me, what I like most about this is that, having read the script, [es que] it celebrates intelligence and it's non-violent but exciting, and it's very strange to watch because it sounds so obvious, and it seems like that would be common, but it's actually quite unusual to have a movie from this franchise, this Hollywood-style movie that actually “It's just about teamwork and intelligence, rather than just violence.”

During the same interview, Eisenberg let slip the possible official title of the film:

When I read this new script Now You See Meo Now You 3 Meas we've been calling it (I'll get in trouble for that), I think, 'Oh wow, these actors who I'm friends with, all of them great actors, are going to be so funny in this.' I love acting more than anything because that's my job. So when I watch a movie with a more Hollywood plot, I don't really care about that stuff that much. But when I see that it's full of these great actors, I'm very excited.”

Fleischer, known by titles such as Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap, Venom, y Unchartedwill direct the script written by Seth Grahame-Smith (The Lego Batman Movie, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), Gavin James y Michael Lesslie (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes). An earlier draft script was written by Oscar nominee Eric Warren Singer (Top Gun: Maverick, American Hustle).

The franchise, which centers its plot around thief illusionists known as the Four Horsemen, has grossed $687 million in the global box office. The saga stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Lizzy Caplan, Mark Ruffalo, Daniel Radcliffe.
