After releasing the first official trailer for the horror thriller Trapthe most recent of M. Night Shyamalan (Knock at the Cabin, The Sixth Sense, Glass, Old), titled The trap in our country, the study Warner Bros. continues to reveal information.

The most recent is about official logo of the filmmade by Josh Hartnett (Oppenheimer, Pearl Harbor), like a father taking his daughter to a Lady Raven concert (Saleka Shyamalan), only to discover something much more sinister happening once inside the compound.

As we could see in the trailer (if you haven't seen it, you find it here), the evening begins with excitement, until Hartnett's character notices the presence of numerous police officers, who surround the arena and set up surveillance equipment. As law enforcement searches for a serial killer who is supposed to attend Lady Raven's show, Harnett's character worries about the safety of his daughter. But in a major turn of events, it is revealed that Hartnett's character is actually the criminal the police are looking for and he must find a way to survive the concert undetected. The film's title refers to how the killer will be trapped in a crowded arena, and time is running out for the evil protagonist.

The rest of the cast completes it Hayley Mills (The Wheel of Time, Unforgotten), Marnie McPhail (Orphan Black: Echoes, The Way Home), Vanessa Smythe (The Expanse, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), Scott Ian MacDugall, Kristi Woodsy Cali Lorella.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“A father and his teenage daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they are at the center of a dark and sinister event.”

Trap is the first film Shyamalan has made under his new deal with Warner Bros., which has been described as a “multi-year first-look directing and producing deal.”

Shyamalan is the director, screenwriter and producer. Marc Bienstock is another of the producers.

Trap will be released in theaters on August 9, 2024 (previously released on August 2).
