Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (skin-on)

  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme, optional)

Directions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan. Press lightly to keep the skin flat.
  • Cook for about 4–5 minutes without moving, until the skin is crispy.
  • Flip the salmon and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  • Add butter and garlic to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the salmon continuously for extra flavor.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle fresh herbs if desired.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.
