Ingredients

  • 5 eggs

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon powdered yeast

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

  • 1 cup of melted guava

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Beat the whites in snow and book.
  • In another bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar until you get a fluffy and clear cream.
  • Add the water, oil and vanilla essence and beat again.
  • Add the sifted wheat flour and baking powder and mix well.
  • Finally, add the egg whites and mix gently.
  • Pour the dough into a 30 cm x 40 cm mold, lined with parchment paper, and bake for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and, while still hot, unmold onto a clean, damp tea towel.
  • Spread the melted guava paste over the cake and roll it up, forming a rocambole.
  • Let cool completely before serving.
