Ingredients
5 eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 cup wheat flour
1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup oil
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1 cup of melted guava
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Beat the whites in snow and book.
- In another bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar until you get a fluffy and clear cream.
- Add the water, oil and vanilla essence and beat again.
- Add the sifted wheat flour and baking powder and mix well.
- Finally, add the egg whites and mix gently.
- Pour the dough into a 30 cm x 40 cm mold, lined with parchment paper, and bake for about 15 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the oven and, while still hot, unmold onto a clean, damp tea towel.
- Spread the melted guava paste over the cake and roll it up, forming a rocambole.
- Let cool completely before serving.
